Rector Professor Klemens Budzowski, PhD

Graduated from the Higher School of Economics, Krakow, defended a PhD thesis in 1979 at the Academy of Economics in Krakow, assistant professor, adjunct professor at the Department of Foreign Trade at the Academy of Economics in Krakow (from 1 November 1972 to 30 September 2006, fulltime). Associate professor at the Department of Foreign Trade at Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University.

Author and co-author of 133 scientific publications, including 26 published abroad in different languages: English, Russian, Slovakian, Serbian, Ukrainian. The publications are: monographs, 7 textbooks on the economics of foreign trade, economic problems of building exports, articles and scientific papers. Co-editor (together with Professor S. Wydymus) of 10 books issued as materials from nationwide scientific conferences). Academic teacher, conducting lectures (Economics of Foreign Trade, Export of Construction, Customs Policy, Foreign Trade Policy, International Trade, Business Plan), Master and Bachelor seminars (promoter of more than 600 diploma theses and several dozen diploma theses at post-graduate studies at the Cracow University of Economics and Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University). Co-founder and, since 1993, the owner of the Consulting and Training Office “Prohazet” in Krakow, in which, under his supervision, there were prepared over 150 scientific studies, expert opinions, business plans, prefeasibility and feasibility studies, market research, and marketing analyzes for Polish and foreign companies.

In the years 1997–1998, President of the Management Board of the Krakow Region Development Agency S.A. (currently MARR S.A. Krakow), Member of supervisory boards at: Hospital of the Order of Bonifratri Jan Grande in Krakow (1997-1998), FEWB Metalplast Krakow (in 1995-1997, 2000-2010), Rożnów Hydroelectric Power Plant Complex Ltd (1997-1998), KS Cracovia (currently – third term).

Decorations: Silver Badge for Social Work for the City of Krakow (16 April 1985), Badge for Merit for the Kielce Region (3 July 1985), Gold Badge for Merit for Krakow Land (16 June 1987), Gold Badge for Social Work for the City of Krakow (16 June 1988), Silver Cross of Merit (7 September 1998), Medal of the National Education Commission (14 September 1999), Gold Cross of Merit (15 June 2000).

The first president (1999-2000) of Krakow Educational Society Ltd, a founder of Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University, Honorary Doctor of the International Economics and Humanities University S. Demianczuk in Ukraine (2013). Associate professor and Chancellor of Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University (AFMKU) in 2000-2019. Rector of AFMKU from 1 October 2019.

Vice-Rector for Science and Education Professor Marcin Pieniążek, PhD

Marcin Pieniążek is a Doctor of Laws and the author of 50 publications on the philosophy of law and legal ethics. He is a graduate of the European Academy of Legal Theory in Brussels (LL.M., magna cum laude). In 2008-2012 he was the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration at Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University. He is also a former proxy for scientific research of the Dean of Law, Administration and International Relations and the former Director of School of English Law at the Faculty of Law, Administration and International Relations, Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University. He is a research proposal reviewer in the Polish National Science Centre and a board member in the Institute of Legal Ethics Foundation.
